In August 2023, CNN announced a big programming change. Phillip was named the permanent host of the network’s 10 p.m. ET time slot with a new program, CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip. As part of this change, Manu Raju was appointed anchor of Inside Politics on Sunday mornings.
