Hoda Kotb is an American broadcast journalist, television personality, and author best known for her long-running role on NBC’s Today. She served as the show’s main co-anchor from 2018 to early 2025 and co-hosted its entertainment-focused fourth hour from 2007 to 2025. She also worked as a correspondent for the news magazine program Dateline NBC.
Kotb began her career in local television, landing her first on-air role at WXVT. She then worked as a reporter at WQAD before becoming a weekend anchor and reporter at WINK-TV. From 1992 to 1998, she served as an anchor and reporter at WWL-TV.
